Foundation a new love !

I was recently on the look out for a new foundation as my other bottle was coming to an end. With this I wanted to try a new brand, so with the recommendation of a friend I popped down to my nearest Dior counter to try out one of their foundations. They do three types, ranging from low to high coverage, which are Nude, Star and Forever. I told the gentleman I was looking for more of a high coverage foundation, so he suggested that i should go for Forever and he matched me up to the shade 23. The formulation of this foundation feels like silk when applying to the skin. It's so light weight and doesn't make you feel caked. It also comes with the added bonus of SPF 25, which is something that I want in my foundation as we all need a little protection from the sun, even in this sometimes glorious English weather . This is the every day foundation that my face has been calling out for and that I have a new found love for.

Bouncy Sleeping

The Drops of Youth bouncy sleeping mask from the Body Shops new range is a must for me in any evening regime. After you've removed your makeup from the day with your normal regime, adding this before you go to bed will leave your skin feeling fresh and smooth from the time you put it on until the morning. The gel like texture mask has the bouncy resemblance when removing it from the pot. When it is massaged in to the hands it turns in to a smoother texture to apply to the face, not leaving you sticky or feeling it's to heavy on your face, which is surprisingly nice for a overnight face mask.

Mask Attack

I love a face mask as much as the next person does, so on my ventures I was able to pick up these masks when I was in Asia. I love being able to venture around asian supermarkets/drug stores and see what new wonderful beauty products they have.

Along my ventures I managed to grab myself a snail mask, yes you are probably thinking snail! Do not fear it's probably one of the most moisturising and softest "natural" ingredients I've ever tried. It really does leave you feeling softer than a baby's bottom. In Asia I realised that snail products hold quite a big part in their beauty regime and nearly every consignment that I went to had some sort of product that involved snail secretion on their shelves including hand creams.

The Acai berry and the kelp masks both leave your skin feeling moisturised and nourished, especially when you feel like your face needs a pick me up. Overall, these mask were a great buy which I will be repurchasing when I next get the chance

Lets get fresh faced

So removing your face makeup can be tedious, When buying a makeup cleansing oil you want to ideally make sure that it is removing it effortlessly and is leaving you with a make up free fresh face.


Over the past couple of months i have been using the ESTĒE LAUDER perfectly clean cleanser/toner/makeup remover mousse and The BODY SHOPS camomile silky cleansing oil, from using both of these products they differ for me majorly.


The EL perfectly clean mousse should have removed the EL Double wear foundation that i wear with ease, as the woman at the counter said this product was made especially to remove this but i found that it left me with quite a bit foundation on my face which is obviously not ideal and not what i wanted. I love the idea of how they have tried to combine this product to be a cleanser and a toner whilst also being a makeup remover but for me it didn't do what i had hoped it to.


Now for the BODY SHOPS cleansing oil, I had read reviews on this product and there is a lot of hype surrounding it and thought i must try this out for myself . This amazing product does what it says and thats what i love, it removes all of my makeup effortlessly and removes waterproof mascara with ease, yes its an oil based product which i try and steer away from as i do have quite oily skin but this does not affect me at all i either wash it off with lukewarm water or use a flannel.

When I saw these beauty's from 

River Island  I knew I had to get them, I had seen someone else with a similar pair to these but they were from AllSaints and at the other end of the price range spectroom. This pair of slip on studded shoes, finished off with a golden colured metal strip at the toe is perfect for dressing up with a lovely day dress or with a pair of black skinny jeans simple but yet affective !
